John and June Allcott Gallery: Julio Lugo Rivas, Something Familiar in the Landscape
As a visual artist, Julio Lugo Rivas has a particular taste for zooming in, zooming out, focusing and blurring subjects, objects or scenes from everyday life. Starting from social, political and economic criteria, he delves into the relationship of living beings with their environments to present diverse readings that invite contemplation and reflection. Lugo Rivas uses the scientific method as part of the creative process both in the conceptualization and development of his artistic research.
