Here, There and Everywhere — We Need the Arts from Here At UNC on Vimeo. Featuring BFA ’20 alumna Peri Law.

Top flight faculty. Generous undergraduate scholarships. Competitive graduate student fellowships. Inspiring visiting artists and scholars. Renowned research. A world-class art library. Innovative student programs. Improved facilities and studios. Enviable exhibitions….

The generosity of our alumni, faculty, friends, and patrons makes all this and more possible. We are deeply grateful to all our friends and donors for their financial support. Despite significant budget cuts, we continue to provide the best possible education for our students. Private giving allows us to enhance their experiences by extending the classroom to the real world.

A foundry, and the faculty to staff it, would provide various casting technical skills and techniques to our sculpture program.

An endowment for our artist-in-residence program would bring breakout artistic talents to work with students and faculty for a semester or year.

Developing a museum studies program, and sustaining our existing artist archives program, would prepare outstanding professionals to interpret, enhance, and diversify the cultural heritage of North Carolina and beyond.

Faculty fellowships and travel funds keep our faculty and students at the forefront of research. Technology funds keep our studios at the leading edge of 21st-century artmaking processes.

Expanded gallery space, with a full-time curator, would grow our stimulating exhibitions and programs, enhance our curricula, and further connect our scholarship and creative endeavors with the university community and the general public.

You can read about the difference philanthropic support has made to an individual Art and Art History student in this Campaign for Carolina Brochure.

Please consider a gift to the Art Department today to help us realize the dreams and aspirations of our students and faculty. Thank you!
