Canadian Indigenous artist Wendy DesChene graduated with an MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art and immediately incorporated materials that would support activism. "Kawii Otinum" translates to "Reclaim" in Michif, the distinctive language of the native M├ętis in North America.
