FRANK Gallery: re:Collection (ARTS 515 Advanced Photography)

This project was supported by the Beatrice B. Pearman Undergraduate University Research Fund in Art, Department of Art and Art History, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Among the text, slices of photographs in horizontal strips show glimpses of details of larger images, showing such things as a door lock with graffiti and the word "Syria" written next to it, a face with letters over it, a red curtain in a gym window, a pair of small hands, zigzag lights across a bridge, figures in a black and white desert, and so on.

Opening Reception: April 12, 6-8 pm

Gesche Wuerfel’s ARTS 515 Advanced Photography class presents an exhibition of their work at FRANK Gallery at University Place in Chapel Hill. In the course, students focus on the professional and business aspects of a career in photography: during the semester, students create a professional portfolio of images, develop and install an exhibition, and create a website and use social media to showcase their work.
