“Best of the Best” art exhibition is opening and will be on view from August 11 through 30, 2017.  The chief juror is Professor Curlee Raven Holton, Executive Director of the David C. Driskell Center and Distinguished Artist in Residence, Department of Art, University of Maryland, and Curated by Carolyn Goodridge, Executive Director of Art Impact™ USA.  We present the artists and the artwork of “Best of the Best” during the hottest month of the year and at a time when there’s said to be no one around DC.  With over 380 registrations received thus far, we expect this to be a true blockbuster opening reception, with live Jazz performances by Charles Rahmat Woods Trio.

“Best of the Best” presents two hundred and forty nine artists spanning the globe – from DC to LA, Miami to Boston, the UK to Canada, and from Switzerland to Syria.  302 pieces were chosen from over fourteen hundred works of art!  Half of the artists reside in the D.C. Metropolitan Area. The public is invited to enjoy video installation, photography, painting, fabric art and more. Some works will be hung on the Pepco Edison Place Gallery walls for three weeks and others, The Notables, will be shown in a digital presentation during the opening reception.  With a 110-page exhibition catalog documenting this colossal event, the visitors will be able to walk away with a treasured souvenir, at the very least.

“Best of the Best” is a forceful show of creativity, and is Art Impact™ USA’s fourth year producing stellar exhibitions at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery and the first year with cash awards for the artists.  Even with today’s asinine budget cuts in art education, artists continue to contribute billions of dollars to the world creative economy.  This massive exhibition of herded cats, yes, royal lions, acts as the visual testimony of the creativity existing within our world community.  Art Impact™ USA’s mission is to cultivate, grow and support artists in the U.S. and beyond, so that their creative gifts may then enrich our lives.

“Best of the Best” is sponsored by Pepco Holdings, Washington Express, Google, Law Firm Vendors Association, and Art Impact USA, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.  For more information and to register for what tickets are left visit now.
