Second-year M.F.A. student Lydia McCarthy has won a prestigious 2010 Conscientious Photo Competition Award.Lydia was selected from among more than one thousand entries by juror Elizsabeth Biondi, chief visual editor of the New Yorker Magazine. Biondi wrote about Lydia’s work, “These portraits are different from anything I have seen before.
